Dr. Yu-Chang Hsu is Professor of Educational Technology at Boise State University. Hsu's research interests and expertise include mobile app programming and computing education, computer-supported collaborated learning (CSCL), maker education and physical computing for STEAM education, game-based mobile augmented reality and virtual reality for teaching and learning. He has published extensively in the areas above.

 

He has received grant funding from the National Science Foundation and Department of Defense Education Activity to research integrating STEM disciplinary knowledge into programming and collaborative problem solving, and how to integrate coding activities as well computational thinking in STEM curriculum.

 

Hsu has expertise and experiences in multiple methodologies including quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, and design-based research.

 

He has also developed and taught courses on mobile app programming, maker technologies, game-based mobile augmented reality and virtual reality, research methods, and doctoral seminars on trends of educational research.
